My Bio
Here is a little page about myself just so that you can put a face to the madness.
My name is Ben MacKinnon and I am a student at the University of Delaware. I am a secondary math-education major and am working on my Bachelor’s of Arts degree. It is going to take a bit longer then I thought considering I am paying my way through college but I am learning that it is the process that ultimately matters.
In terms of Churches, I attend Willowdale Chapel in the Kennett Square area and am challenged/encouraged every time I darken the door. If you are anywhere around the area I advise you to check it out sometime! My first baptism was done there at the beginning of this summer (June 8th, 2008), so clearly I am a fan of the place! You can find the link to the website in the Links column on the right.
My ultimate goal is to be a high school math teacher. Some people get the chance to choose their profession and some people had their profession choose them, and I feel as if the world of education has chosen me. I went with math because as I learned more about it, I began to see the beauty found in logic. In short, my career goal is to be a math teacher, but my life’s calling is to show the beauty in mathematics to young people.
Writing/Math are my passions, education is my calling, cycling is my muse, and coffee is my addiction. Most of the things you will find in my writing were drummed up either on the roads anywhere from Delaware to Pennsylvania or in a diner/coffee-shop in Newark, DE (or Portland, OR). Which is why I would like to thank my bike for not giving up on me and the employees of all Newark coffee establishments for not kicking me out after many hours there.
These are pretty much the basics, the deeper nature of myself is what I hope to describe in my writings.

I never described myself a dog-person at all, then I met Gracie. Now, I am a Gracie-person. Still not a dog person though….
